RISC-V Summit Europe 2024 | ESWIN Computing showcases edge computing products and solutions in international arena
2024-06-26

At RISC-V Summit Europe 2024 that opens in Munich, Germany, on June 25, experts, scholars, and companies from around the world are gathered to discuss innovation on RISC-V and envision the future. As a RISC-V enthusiast, ESWIN Computing presents its homebrew RISC-V development boards, edge computing SoCs, and scenario-specific solutions.

Wang Bo, Vice Chairman of ESWIN Computing, delivered speeches titled “ESWIN EIC7700X: Pioneer of RISC-V Computing Solution” and “ESWIN Computing’s RISC-V Innovation” respectively, in which he shared with global audiences the company’s cutting-edge technologies and innovations in RISC-V.

“In the AI era, with vast opportunities to reshape thousands of industries, ESWIN Computing is building the future of intelligent computing based on RISC-V. Computing power is the driving force of AI and we designed the EIC77 Series SoCs to meet the diverse computational requirements of various application scenarios,” stated Bo Wang.

AI is now racing ahead and being adopted quickly, and other new technologies and products keep emerging. With its keen insight into the market and remarkable innovation strengths, ESWIN Computing pioneered in launching the EIC77 Series SoCs with superior computing density and performance, getting a head start in the market.

One of ESWIN Computing’s featured exhibits at RISC-V Summit Europe 2024 is the RISC-V edge computing SoC EIC7700X, which adopts a 64-bit out-of-order RISC-V CPU and the company’s self-developed high-performance NPU and supports full-stack floating-point arithmetic calculations and large language models (LLMs) with high precision guaranteed. The EIC7700X features high-performance 2D/3D GPUs, with single-die computing power up to 19.95 TOPS, and delivers high computing efficiency for deep neural network (DNN) inference, reaching 590 FPS on ResNet-50 and 2,600 FPS on MobileNetV2. It offers robust codec capabilities and supports up to 8K video decoding at 50 frames or 32-channel 1080p at 30 frames, and up to 8K video encoding at 25 frames or 13-channel 1080p at 30 frames, which can run in parallel with the inference function. The EIC7700X comes in various forms including ICs, development board, and AI smart edge station. Multiple chips can achieve greater computing power through PCIe cascading.

The EIC7700X has empowered the highest-performance RISC-V development board on the market – the SiFive HiFive Premier P550, and the world’s first ever RISC-V laptop by Deepin AI.

ESWIN Computing booth

At RISC-V Summit Europe 2024, ESWIN Computing gave a live demo of the AI PC computer desktop and LLMs that run on the 64-bit RISC-V development board backed by the EIC7700X. Multi-window support enables different tasks such as gaming and video to run stably and smoothly at the same time on Linux. The built-in image signal processor (ISP) offers a rich set of hardware acceleration features for image processing, such as image enhancement, dynamic contrast enhancement, and distortion correction, ensuring high image clarity and great color fidelity.

Since its inception in 2019, ESWIN Computing has set its sights on RISC-V, committed to independent R&D of the RISC-V architecture and wide application of RISC-V architecture-based chip products. ESWIN Computing offers a whole suite of RISC-V-architecture based products and possesses full-chain capabilities driven by application scenarios, ranging from kernel customization to product implementation to wide application.

Describing the RISC-V Summit Europe as a platform for communication with global industry chain partners, Wang Bo said, “In the AI era, demand for computing power is exploding, and RISC-V is galloping into the phase of rapid adoption. ESWIN Computing will continue to cooperate and innovate with ecosystem partners to build great products in edge computing, AI PC, AI acceleration, and other fields and provide optimal solutions for customers. We will push for more investment in RISC-V R&D and ecosystem building and work with upstream and downstream partners along the global industry chain to accelerate RISC-V adoption in industry segments with higher computational requirements.”
