Catering for the needs of various subjects

Based on the needs of each subject, the smart edge station for education uses AI to empower the whole process of teaching, practice, and examination, and supports AI-enabled real-time scoring, centralized offline scoring after the end of examination, and other modes.

The built-in algorithms currently support testing of more than 100 types of lab equipment, detection of some 100 types of experiment behaviors, and over 40 required physical, chemical, and biological experiments in the syllabi. The smart edge station offers real-time analysis, supports recognition using multimodal algorithms, and can be directly connected to specified applications by customers.

 

Enabling cost-effective and rapid development of algorithms through low-code

In addition to the built-in algorithms of the smart edge station for education, developers on the customer side can use the built-in AI development framework to quickly develop algorithms. The built-in AI development framework standardizes and encapsulates the general parts in the development of physical, chemical, and biological experiment algorithms, such as push/pull, pre-processing and post-processing, algorithm smoothing, and APIs. This allows developers to focus on the coding of the event logic itself, which greatly improves the development efficiency and quality.

 

RISC-V edge computing SoC to empower new-generation smart edge station for education

The next-generation smart edge station for education equipped with ESWIN Computing’s self-developed RISC-V edge computing SoC – the EIC7700 – is coming soon. The device will boast higher performance to facilitate the smart transformation of customers.

The EIC7700 is packed with upgrades across multiple indicators. It adopts a 4-core 64-bit RISC-V out-of-order processor and the company’s independently developed power-efficient NPU matrix and vector computing module, and supports large language models. The DNN processor provides computing power of 13.3 TOPS at INT8 precision, which can meet the needs for classification, detection, segmentation, and tracking. It has strong codec capabilities that support 32-channel 1080p 30-frame video decoding and 13-channel 1080p 30-frame video encoding, and can be paralleled with the reasoning function. The image signal processor (ISP) has multiple hardware acceleration functions for image processing, such as image enhancement, dynamic contrast enhancement, and distortion correction, and offers a rich set of external interfaces for multimedia input and output, PCIe, and Ethernet.

The new-generation smart edge station for education equipped with the EIC7700 will come with optimizations in computing operators and software tools for AI applications in educational scenarios. Further, it will be armed with ESWIN Computing’s independently developed AI smart experiment framework and algorithms to deliver higher-performance and more cost-effective smart education solutions.
